At the time of puchase it was the only RX-7 Spirit R I could find. However the recent release of an Aoshima version means the only Pro for this kit now is it's price and original existence. Wheels and tyres are well mouleded and the kit assembles without any trouble.
Curbside. The relationship between the brakes and the wheels is very out of proportion, the brake discs are buried far behind the rims. Mounting of mirrors to body is fiddly and fragile, although the Tamiya RX-7 kit is no better in this respect either. Some of the smaller lights and reflectors are moulded in, whereas clear parts would be nice.
It's nothing special. The Tamiya RX-7 R1 is a beter kit although lacks this great rear wing. I've not seen the kit yet but it's than likely you'd be better off spending your money on the Aoshima RX-7 Spirit R instead, if you want this particular RX-7.
Scratch built seatbelts, new front brakes added, front radiators and pipework added. Rear brace added made from spare Tamiya front brace. Parcel shelf carpet. Metal Mazda emblems are from Tamiya. Paint is Halfords Vauxhall Petrol Blue, clearcoated with Tamiya TS13.
