"Barn Find" Lamborghini Jota completed December 17th, 2017.

Kit bought at IPMS Telford November 2017 as a completed kit. Stripped and rebuilt.

Background:

I saw this in the "donate to charity and take a kit" box at IPMS. It reminded me of real-life "Barn find" cars - something that needs attention and a lot of TLC to make it right again. So I could not resist picking it up for a few pounds donation and seeing what could be done.

Pros:

Not a lot to be honest. In fact... nothing at all.

Cons:

It's an old kit, undetailed and with a badly proportioned interior. No engine detail, no suspension deteil either. No brakes. Battery compartment compromises the interior.

Verdict:

Get the Hasegawa kit. I only picked this as it was there and needing attention.

Build notes:

Body colour is Tamiya TS-20 Metallic Green. I hacked up the interior to make it the correct propotions and put the dashboard and seats where they should be - remiving the battery compartment to do this. Headlamp covers have been replaced as the old ones were a glue bmomb, and the black vent items inside the bonnet have been turned around to the correct position compared with the orginal build. The interior has carpeting and lot of extra details.
